Glass Lamp Shade Victorian Top Hole Clear Ornate Vintage Petticoat
Finely detailed glass shade with ornate design in EAPG.
Shaped like a women's petticoat this shade has flowing lines accented with details like beading around the bottom edge of the scalloped rim and extending upward between feather patterns on the lower half. the top half resembles stacked marbles topped with combed ridges.
The shade has a hole in the top through which a finial post would be inserted to attach the shade to a lamp, a pendant, or a suspended fixture.
The shade measures 6.25 x 5.75 inches in width at the rim. It is truly a unique and
rare example of Early American Glass and may be as early as the 1920's.
This vintage shade is in excellent condition with no visible flaws.

Measuring for a replacement shade:
A. height of the shade.
B. width of the shade's top rim
C. width of the shade's widest point
D. width of the shade's fitter measurement across the bottom, which would fit inside of the holders base.
E. height of the fitter. Some are short necked, some are taller. This would be the measurement from the very bottom up to the beginning of the bulged section.
